Point Hope United Methodist Church

about us

Point Hope United Methodist Church is the only Methodist church in the northern Mount Pleasant area. Our church exists so that we may connect spiritually with the community and provide a church home for Mount Pleasant citizens. We offer Sunday school, child care and children services to our youngest members.

Our primary goal is to reach the people of the northern Mount Pleasant community to meet their spiritual needs and incorporate them into a fellowship of faithful disciples and teach them to become loving caregivers themselves.

Our Mission

In response to God's love, we will build a community of faithful believers in Christ who share God's love and offer hope through worship and service.

Our Values
  • We believe in the power of prayer
  • We believe in spiritual growth through participation
  • We believe in fostering loving relationships within our church
  • We value our children
  • We value mission in and ministry to the community
  • We believe in the sanctity of all life and the sacred worth of each person
