Point Hope United Methodist Church’s pastor is Rev. Narcie Jeter. Pastor Narcie guides the church as we serve the spiritual needs of the northern Mount Pleasant community and beyond.
An alumnae of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Pastor Narcie graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in english and a double minor in education and social sciences. She continued her studies at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated with a master of divinity in 2005.
Pastor Narcie has served three collegiate ministry appointments, as the United Methodist campus minister at Emory University and as the director of Clairmont Religious Life, an inter-religious ministry of hospitality and presence to mostly graduate and international students, as well as the director and campus minister of the Winthrop Wesley Foundation and the executive director and United Methodist campus minster at Gator Wesley Foundation in Gainesville, Florida, which served the University of Florida and Santa Fe College.
While serving at Winthrop, Pastor Narcie was the contemporary worship pastor at St. John’s UMC – Fort Mill for three years. She currently serves as the co-chair of the United Methodist Campus Ministry Association and was elected to the South Carolina Delegation to General and Jurisdictional Conference.
Pastor Narcie is married to Mike and they have two children, Enoch, who is nine years old, and Evy, who is seven years old. In her spare time, Pastor Narcie enjoys spending time with her family, building relationships, putting faith in action and bringing the church to the world.
