Sunday Faith Connection Group

This spring, the Point Hope UMC Adult Sunday School explores a topic that is really the bedrock of our Christian experience and central to our theology; that “God Loves Us.” Children learn this fundamental truth early on when they sing, “Jesus Loves Me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so…” Theologian N. T. Wright says, “When we learn to read the story of Jesus and see it as the story of the love of God, doing for us what we could not do for ourselves—that insight produces, again and again, a sense of astonished gratitude which is very near the heart of authentic Christian experience.” (goodreads.com)

From the Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies “Uniform Series,” this study by writer Stan Purdum leads us in Bible lessons across both Testaments of Scripture as we celebrate the love of the God who “gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life” (John 3:16).

We meet at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday in the room in the corner of the fellowship hall closest to the main entrance. All adults and interested youth welcome!
