East Cooper Christian Preschool

East Cooper Christian Preschool will be housed at Point Hope United Methodist Church from September through December until their permanent home is ready. There are classes for 4s, 3s, 2s and a Mother's Morning Out for 12–24 mos. Point Hope members receive a discount. Call ECCP's director, Jessica Nuttall, at (843) 330-2499 for more information.

Community Blood Drives

Point Hope United Methodist Church will host a series of community blood drives in 2010. The blood drives will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church located at 4304 Turgot Lane behind the Sunshine House in the Park West sub-division. The dates for the blood drives are:
  • April 19 - 20 units of blood, saving 60 lives!
  • June 21
  • August 23
  • October 25



East Cooper Fishing Club

We are now the official home of the East Cooper Fishing Club. They will meet on the first Monday of every month at our church. We are hosting them to reach out to the community, but our members are welcome to attend and join. Learn more at www.eastcooperfishingclub.net.



PHellowship Dinner

Join us the last Sunday of each month for a PHellowship Dinner following our morning worship service. It's a great time to catch up on church activities, share in God's fellowship and enjoy a delicious meal.



Nine Holes ~ Dunes West Golf Course

Tuesdays at 5:30pm ~ $20 (includes cart fee). Please let Loyd Davis know by the Sunday prior if you are interested in playing on Tuesday - davis@compassminerals.com or (843) 216-5597.



Membership Sundays

We designate the third Sunday of the month as a special time for our congregation to receive new members. Please contact the church office if you are interested in becoming a member. (843) 971-6377.



Children's Choir

Led by Cindy Bohr, Children's Choir practice is held each Wednesday evening from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.



Point Hope United Methodist Church Honors Two Members with Outstanding Service Award

Russell "Russ" Tiller has received the inaugrual Mary Frances Bendure Award for Service from the congregration of Point Hope United Methodist Church. This award, which will be given annually, is named in honor of church member Fran Bendure. Read more.

Point Hope United Methodist Church is pleased to announce that it will be hosting Dens 1 and 2 of Cub Scout Pack 505 at the Outreach Center. Read more.



Point Hope Selects Architectural Firm

Point Hope United Methodist Church has selected Stubbs Muldrow Herin Architects (SMHa) as the architectural and planning firm for the church's sanctuary building on its 7-acre parcel of land in Park West. Read more.



Bishop's Five Star Award of Excellence

On May 15, 2008, Point Hope United Methodist Church was notified by the Bishop's office that we had received the Bishop's Five Star Award of Excellence. Read more.
