At Point Hope United Methodist Church you can expect a welcoming environment, an engaging worship experience, a safe and fun space for children, and a message that will leave you with practical steps each week to see your life begin to change.
As you come through the doors of Point Hope you’ll be greeted warmly by our greeters. Please let the greeters know you’re a first-time visitor and they will usher you to our worship space and let you know where things are according to your needs.
Worship, which is a casual blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles is every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in our sanctuary. Childcare for infants and toddlers is available during the worship service. All of our childcare providers have completed specialized training through Darkness to Light. During worship, there will be a special message for children after which they will be invited to participate in an interactive, engaging learning activity during children’s Sunday School (grades K-5) or they may rejoin their parents in the congregation.
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month with Holy Communion. All are invited to the table.
At Point Hope, there is always fellowship and on the last Sunday of every month, we have a shared meal following worship. All are encouraged and invited to participate in this time of community by bringing a favorite meal/side dish/dessert to share or partake in the wondrous foods others have brought to share. Our ‘Phellowship Meals’ are always a time of warm conversations, support, laughter, and banana pudding. Everyone is welcome to attend!
We look forward to having you join us for worship at Point Hope United Methodist Church.
