Dear Point Hope,

Today in my reading and as I was praying about Point Hope specifically, Isaiah 43:18 and 19 really spoke to me:

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

God has been doing a new thing here over the past few months, but I do not perceive that God is finished with us. He is always calling us to change, to be transformed more and more into the image of Christ. He calls out to us to learn from our past but to not be bound by it.

I am excited about all the new things that are still ahead of us as a church. This Sunday we finish up a great series on the Apostles’ Creed and we celebrate Memorial Day, thanking God for all He has done for us through the sacrifice of others. Next Sunday, we celebrate our Students and specifically our SENIORS, certainly God has remarkable change headed their way! Congratulations!

We will begin a NEW sermon series at a NEW time on June 16. We are going to celebrate SUMMER with our SUMMER SCHEDULE and worship together at 9:30 a.m. There are many reasons for this change but here are a few:

More family, boat or beach time on Sundays.

More time to get to BRUNCH earlier on Sunday.

Time for us to plan a new service.

All of these reasons why we are celebrating ourĀ SUMMER SCHEDULE with church beginning at 9:30 a.m. on June 16 followed by adult Sunday School!

Please contact me or a Church Council member if you have any concerns about this. We would love to answer any questions and help you get to service on time if you need support.

Many Blessings in Christ and see you Sunday!

Pastor Elizabeth
